So the new Jacksonville Apartment
I knew at some point from March through May that I'd be making the move up here. Didn't know exactly when but I knew my mind was made up to leave Ft. Lauderdale. So in July I came up to Jax for the first time under the pretense of living here. I had 3 days in town and had to meet my new coworkers, go to work, and oh yeah find a place to live. As it turns out my office is in the part of town I'd choose to live in so that worked out well. It wasn't at the beach but hey you can't have everything but I was pleased.
I'm in a part of town called Southside which cleverly enough is on the Southside of Jax proper. In fact I was here more than a month before I even saw downtown. There's just no reason for me to go there. If I had tickets to a Jaguars game I'd go there. And truth be told I think its pretty cool that the city's sporting events are in a downtown environment.
I digress, during my July trip I looked at about 8 apartment complexes. The last one I looked at was Cape House which is the place I decided upon. About 5 miles to the office about 5 miles to the beach and all the normal stuff that makes life easy really close. Just fine by me. I picked a second floor one bedroom that overlooks one of the ponds and the tennis courts. And I've got a fireplace!!!! Here's some pics for ya.
Here's the view from my balcony looking to the west

Here's to the North (Lot's of cute girls play tennis there!!!!)

To the east

Now for the inside

Hey look, I've got a fireplace!!!!
